Fractionnal CO2 laser
Fractional CO2 Laser
Fractional Lasers have become virtually indispensable for treating sun damage and acne scars. Now there is a choice between thermolysis fractional laser and ablative fractionatal CO2 lasers.
Ten years ago, all laser was ablative; that is to say, it removed a layer of skin. You stayed home to heal for a good couple of weeks or months, got depressed, and if you didn’t up with pigmentation disorders (lighter skin, mini-burns), your skin was actually brand new, smoother, fresher. But at what cost? No one wants to go through unpleasant, even painful, treatments that force you to hide at home while you heal.
Now there is fractional laser. Used on the eye area and temples, fractional laser reduces wrinkles, smoothes dark circles, and firms the skin. About half of patients will be slightly swollen for five days. That’s all. Best of all, it is not as painful as the old lasers; you feel a slight tingling sensation during the procedure. The result lasts two years. Good to know: CO2 fractional treats deep wrinkles, and loss of fullness. Because it is stronger, the swelling lasts longer but the results are even more amazing. It allows working people to keep their skin smooth and youthful without pain and with just a short downtime.
Fractional laser enables the smoothing of superficial and mid-level wrinkles, and the mitigation of some scars and stretch marks.
This technique can be used on the entire face and body. It is appropriate for both women and men, and according to the type of problem being addressed, at all stages of life.
Laser resurfacing using conventional fractional CO2 yields remarkable results in the treatment of sun damage and post-acne facial scars.
The use of fractional laser is a breakthrough in the treatment of other types of scars (surgical, post-traumatic, spontaneous, and even keloids) against which doctors used to be powerless, especially in locations other than the face.
The results continue to improve in the 3 to 6 months after treatment.

TECHNIQUE
Fractional laser works on the principle of selective photothermolysis. This new technique has the ingeniousness to deliver laser light energy in multiple microscopic columns through the skin while keeping areas of healthy skin around each of these columns. The process is a real in-depth treatment the same as ablative therapies, but one which ensures a very rapid recovery (four to five days) and reduced after-effects. This technique, practiced in one or more sessions, does not require general anesthesia.
PROGRAM
• 1- 2 to 3 sessions on average, at an interval determined by medical advice.
RESULTS
• The overall appearance of the skin is visibly improved over the face and body.
• Anti-Aging: firms and lifts, blurring imperfections of the skin.
• Anti-scarring: in a short time, the scars fade and new tissue is created.
• Immediate: the new skin begins to develop within 24 hours.
Fractional CO2 Laser with anesthesia is no longer absolutely necessary, but for comfort, a simple application of Emla ® plastic film anesthetic cream 1 hour before treatment assures the you will just experience a feeling of warmth equivalent to a sunburn in the minutes following treatment.
WHAT IS THE COST OF A RESURFACING?
It depends on the surface to be treated. An estimate will be proposed during the pre-treatment consultation with your dermatologist.
• around the mouth: 150 euro per session
• cheeks 150 euro per session
• full face: 250 euro per session
PLEASE NOTE
• In terms of results, the fractional laser method is an intermediary between laser remodeling and resurfacing.
• Makeup can be applied directly after the laser session.
Sun protection is required for three months after surgery. Avoid having the procedure done in the summer.
